Born at Wigan, Lancashire, CoE. Enlisted 18 October 1916 age 23, civil servant. Nok father, James Seddon, Loch St, Claremont. Embarked at Fremantle on 21 January 1917 per A28 Miltiades and in France September 1917. Given special leave June to September 1919 to study the timber industry at Swallowcliffe, Salisbury. On 11 September 1919 he married Nellie Maude Dyer and together travelled to Australia in February 1920. Service medals: BWM and VM. Cottesloe and district Honour Rolls.
