Born at Cottesloe Beach on 20 April 1899, CoE. Enlisted 7 May 1917 age 18, storeman. Nok mother, Agnes Skipworth, of Victoria St, Cottesloe Beach. Embarked at Fremantle 29 October 1918 per A36 Boonah. Upon arrival at Durban South Africa, news of the Armistice was known and the troops returned to Australia by the same ship and disembarked on 20 December 1918 at Woodman Point Quarantine Station, south of Fremantle, for medical examination for signs of the Spanish Influenza that was killing millions of people world-wide, Discharged 10 January 1919. May be entitled to BWM. On 10 May 1961 Royal Skipworth resided at 4 Wade St Perth.
