Born at Fremantle. Enlisted 5 July 1915 age 20, ironmonger. Nok father, John Joseph Snook, Battle St, Mosman Park. Embarked at Fremantle 5 October per A20 Hororata. On 21 May 1916 in France he was wounded by a bullet in the neck that damaged his spine. Lived the rest of his life in Mosman Park. RTA July 1917 and granted a war pension of 60 shillings per fortnight. Service medals: 1914-1915 Star, BWM and VM.
