Born on 24 October 1886, at Ascot, Victoria, CoE. Enlisted 5 October 1914, teamster. Nok wife, Elizabeth Sparks St Leonards St, Cottesloe Beach. Embarked at Fremantle 8 February 1915 per A47 Mashobra. Served at Gallipoli in 1915. Repatriated to Australia and upon his recovery, returned to duty in the Middle East. He married Elizabeth Dale Banks at the British Consulate in Cairo and RTA December 1918. Service medals: 1914-1915 Star, BWM and VM.
