Born at Fremantle, Wesleyan. Enlisted 17 April 1916 age 25, carpenter. Nok wife, Grace Emily Thorp living at Albany Road Maddington. Embarked at Fremantle 13th of October 1916 per A23 Suffolk. Served in France in 1917 and then in Belgium where he was wounded by poison gas on 1 November 1917. RTA in June 1918 after suffering from chronic bronchitis. Cottesloe School Honour Roll.
