Born at Newtown Sydney, CoE. Enlisted 20 March 1917 age 24, postal employee. Nok father, Henry Turner, Marmion St, Cottesloe and when his father died, his mother, Annie Turner of Boreham St, Cottesloe. Embarked at Fremantle 29 June 1917 per A30 Borda. Arrived at Plymouth 25 August 1917. In France, he died of wounds on 4 July 1918 and was buried at Daours Communal Cemetery Extension, France. Daours is between Amiens and Corbie. Service medals: VM and BWM. Sidney Turner is his brother.
