Born at Newtown, Sydney, NSW, CoE. Enlisted 20 December 1915, age 28, blacksmith’s stoker. Nok his son, Arthur Herbert Tycehurst of c/- guardian Mrs Eliza Forrest, No 2 Bartley St, Sydney NSW. Embarked at Sydney 13 April 1916 per A40 Ceramic. Served in France 1916-1917 and was invalided with trench foot. RTA December 1918 per A71 Nestor. Service medals: BWM and VM. Cottesloe and district Honour Rolls.
