Born at Perth, WA, Wesleyan. Enlisted 21 August 1915 age 19, shop salesman. Nok father, De Bracey Waterman of 316 Wellington St, Perth. Embarked at Fremantle 22 December 1915 per A31 Ajana. Wounded in the thigh in France on 11 April 1917. RTA July 1917. Service medals: BWM and VM. A pension slip in his file dated in 1917, gives his address as simply Perth. The 1930 Post Office Directory lists a William Waterman at Broome St, Cottesloe and W. Waterman was a member of the Cottesloe RSL Cricket Team 1932-33. Cottesloe and district Honour Rolls.
