Born Glasgow Scotland, CoE. Enlisted 8 February 1916 age 22, telephone mechanic. Nok father deceased, mother, Katherine Watson at Wellington St, Cottesloe Beach. Departed Australia from Melbourne 1 August 1916 per A67 Orsova. In France he suffered a severe wound to the hip 13 October 1917. RTA per SS Dundee Castle April 1918 for discharge on 18 November 1918. Service medals: BWM and VM.
