Born Wedderburn Victoria, Methodist. Enlisted 11 January 1915 age 23, clerk. Nok mother, Elizabeth Jane Webb of Mason St, Cottesloe Beach (Father died when Arthur was 6 yrs old). Embarked at Fremantle 19 April 1915 per A8 Argyllshire. Arthur was killed in action 1 July 1915, only 14 days after his landing at Gallipoli. Lone Pine Cemetery, Gallipoli, Turkey. Service medals: 1914-15 Star, BWM and VM. Mother given a pension of £2 per fortnight from 28 August 1915.
