Born at St Kilda Victoria, CoE. Enlisted 28 June 1916 age 24, farmer. Nok father, John Stephen Goodman Webb, Avalon, Glyde St, Cottesloe Beach. Embarked at Fremantle 9 November 1916 per A8 Argyllshire. Served in France in 1917. Wounded in Belgium 20 September 1917 resulting in the loss of three fingers and an immobilised hand (elsewhere states injury occurred in France). RTA February 1918 for discharge. Service medals: BWM and VM.
