Born at Fremantle, CoE. Enlisted 12 October 1915 age 26, labourer. Nok father, Richard White of Napier Rd, North Fremantle (Cottesloe?). Embarked Fremantle 29 January 1916 per A54 Runic. Wounded in France on 26 August 1916, again 2 April 1917 and yet again 26 September 1917. RTA October 1919 per Orontes. Service medals: BWM and VM. While in England, Sydney married Cecelia May Gibson at All Saints Church, Greenwich 2 August 1917.
