Born at Broken Hill, NSW, Wesleyan. Enlisted 10 May 1915 age 22, plumber. Nok father, John Williams of Mt Bryan East via Hallett, Sth Aust. Embarked at Fremantle 13 September 1915 per A32 Themistocles. Wounded in the face in France on 29 June 1916 and again in France with a wound to his hand and leg 25 April 1918. RTA May 1919 per ship China. Service medals: 1914-1915 Star, BWM and VM. His service file has a Mt Lawley WA address for 1928 and 1967. The 1925 and 1935 Post Office Directory lists William O. Williams at 12 Third Ave, Mt Lawley. Cottesloe and district Honour Rolls.
