Born at Leeds, Yorkshire, England, CoE. Enlisted 30 April 1917 age 22, clerk. Nok father, Joseph Wood, Hawkstone St, Cottesloe. Embarked at Fremantle 29 June 1917 per A30 Borda. In France on 6 August 1918 he was gassed. RTA 24 January 1919 per Delta. Service medals: BWM and VM. Cottesloe and district Honour Rolls.
