Born 18 March 1894 at Broken Hill, NSW, Cof E. Joined the Education Department in 1910 as a student at the Normal School designed to lift a student’s academic standards to qualify for Teacher’s College. He was a classroom monitor at South Boulder 1912 and studied at Claremont Teachers College 1913-14. He enlisted 24 October 1916 (or 24 September 1916). Nok parents, John and Sophie Wulff of Boundary St, South Kalgoorlie. Embarked at Fremantle 27 March (or 29 January) 1917 per A28 Miltiades. He served in the United Kingdom and France but no service details other than that he contracted Influenza and was possibly gassed. He returned to Australia 1 June 1919 per Somali and entitled to the British War Medal and the Victory Medal. Wulff resumed teaching at Kalgoorlie in 1919 and at Cottesloe Primary School in 1921. He died in 1922 of war related causes. Before leaving Australia he made arrangements to marry but upon his return he decided it would be unfair to burden the woman he loved with an invalid.
